The driver was able to drive to an independent mechanic, where the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V800000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the previous year, make and model were not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,386.

The brake pedal stiffened and was difficult to be depressed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the brake booster was faulty and there was brake fluid leaking from the brake booster. The vehicle was not repaired.
