Vehicle broke down on side of the road. We have a Mopar Vehicle Protection Plan which is a Lifetime Warranty with Added Care Plus including road side assistance. Road side assistance was of no support. In the end and for vehicle's safety, we had to find our own towing company or stay in the car in 25 degree weather overnight to ensure its safety, or walk back 6 miles to nearest small town for a hotel. We were able to find a tow company on our own that night so $700 later we got it towed to the nearest Dodge dealer by 1 AM.

Dodge dealer calls the next morning to tell us it was the TIPM and that the part number doesn’t come up in the system as a covered part so we have to pay for the repair. Which is insane because if you look at other Mopar Added Care Plus extended warranties it is covered. We have been trying to work with Dodge to find out why and no one can offer support or is willing to escalate the request. So we sit for two weeks now in the shop because once they installed the new TIPM they found the that the fuel pump was out. It took over a week to get a fuel pump delivered and installed, only to be told that the #6 cylinder is out as well. We had no notice that there were any issues prior to the breakdown. The car just died and we luckily were able to get over to the side of the road.

What is even more frustrating is that Dodge/Chrysler knows that this is a common issue that with that model year, and will do nothing for take care of the client. So as we sit today car is still in shop for who knows how long and we wait until #6 cylinder is fixed to find out what else is wrong with the vehicle that drove fine until it died on a cold Wednesday night. We’ve gotten no support from anybody from Chrysler who can explain why on earth this part wouldn’t be covered under a warranty that includes fixing the motor on a sunroof or repairs the air conditioner. At least the fuel pump is covered, but we have no idea if #6 cylinder will be covered until they can figure out why it went bad in the first place.

The AC, rear blower and electronic locks quit working in May. After a week in the shop, the dealer diagnosed a Total Integrated Power Module (TIPM) failure. Ordered replacement part on 1 June. The dealer told me it was on back order and may be a week or two to get the TIPM in. Was told yesterday (21 June) that the ETA for the TIPM replacement was 11 October. Chrysler Customer Care acknowledged the unavailability of the part and told me this morning that the rental car expense for the next 4 months is not their problem. Unbelievable.
