This is a fire sfaety recall, and I want this taken care of right away, before it catches fire. It was announced as a recall. This is an emergency to me. Please help.
98V184000/790; fuel is coming out of the middle of the car, very strong smell coming from the vehicle. Dealer contacted and stated the fuel rail is defective. This vehicle did not comply to the recall. Provide further information.
Stopped at mcdonalds, saw smoke coming from under hood. A man got out of his car and said my car was on fire. He went into mcdonalds and got a fire exsinguisher and put it out. The firemen said it looked like it started at the trottle body and injector. Also the mechanic said it looked like it started at the fuel rail. I noticed the recall on here and have been told that chrsyler has not determined which cars are affected. My extended warranty will not cover this because fire was involved, and chrsyler will not cover it because they say they are not aware of any recalls on my car. My auto insurance will have pick this up and I do not think this is right.
Fuel leakages from the fuel injector area, causing gas fumes to come into the vehicle. Consumer was told by her independent repairman that the dealer does have a repair kit for that problem, but they are on back order.
Noticed fuel smell in car compartment area, took car to dealer. Found out there was a national back order on the fuel rail assembly which was noted as leaking. Very worried about safety of vehicle with a verified fuel leak.
Faulty fuel rail system has leaked gasoline onto engine on two seperate occasions. This could have easily caused a fire resulting in possible injury or death to occupants.
Recall 98V184000.790. Consumer started to smell fuel while driving and mostly when the vehicle was stopped. Manufacturer was contacted and this vehicle did not comply to the recall.
Had smelled gas. Vehicle parked & checked underhood. Fuel sprayed over entire motor & transmission areas. Took to dealer & mechanic had to relace entire fuel rails of the fuel injection assembly.
Driver could smell a strong odor of fuel when driving the vehicle. When tires were changed the mechanic noticed that the fuel rail was leaking. The fuel rail assembly and injector rings have been replaced.
The fuel injectors are leaking fuel into the engine compartment. The dealer has repaired the vehicle twice for this problem. This appears to create a serious risk of fire as gasoline fumes are quite strong.
Vehicle has many different defects. Dealer replaced 3 transmissions and 1 rebuilt/2 fuel injectors/small block/cv joints/passenger front axle/windshield wiper motor/power windows. These defects are still occurring.
