This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
This vehicle has had a failure in every major system. The timing belt failed which led to the damage to the water pump. The power steering pump developed a leak and had to be replaced. There is no excuse for a car to have these kind of mechanical failures in such a short period of time.
While driving vehicle at various speeds engine would overheat. The temperature gauge would run hot. Had noticed smoke from under the hood. Took vehicle to dealer more than 5 times for problem to be repaired. Had engine cylinder/ engine head gasket cover kit/bracket pump/mtg/temperature gauge & outlet cylinder replaced.
There was a leakage within the water pump. Consumer had water pump replaced twice, and water pump is leaking again. And dealer states that the problem is coming from the engine too.
