The first time I took for inspection at dealership, service engine light on. They said code was 6th cylinder and reset, and had to come back next day. It recently came on again and now have to take back to shop, because the power and engine hesitates, has issues going up hills, and scares me on long rides. It is now past the 35,000 mile and into my extra warranty I paid for. Tires all wear badly too, car needs full alignment. Hoping they will not just reset and actual fix the 6th cylinder, unfortunately the light comes and goes. Its not the tires that are a problem, it is the bad alignment causing it to wear wrong. Tires aren't covered under warranty, so that is not acceptable to leave the cause of the defect unfixed so every new tire you put on gets ruined. If they fix 6th cylinder will let you know, but be careful, losing power while driving and the hesitation is terrifying with kids in car.

Issue with 2012 Dodge Journey crew: Dodge only offered 19" wheel but put an undersized 16" spare tire in car. The dimension of wheel Dodge used takes a tire that is not readily available and only manufactured by a small number of tire producers. This situation puts an owner in a predicament when a tire fails. Possibly be stuck some where it is virtually impossible to obtain a tire or weeks to get or have to drive long distances on a wheel that is significantly different in diameter than the other wheels. This is not a safe situation. My personal information is not needed by you or any one else. The above statements are facts which speak for themselves. I know from personal experience that the auto manufacturers do not care the slightest bit about a customers concerns. They lie are arrogant and rude and vindictive. The above issue applies to all 2012 Dodge Journey crew vehicles made at that time.

We purchased a new 2012 Journey in March 2012 from are local Dodge dealer...bought a new vehicle because we did not want to be shelling out money for repairs....have been a Dodge customer for some 20 yrs... all in all..I love my Journey...can't say the same for the dealer or Chrysler.. in March of 2013 at about 12,500 my mechanic suggested I might want to get alignment checked out because the front tires were wearing abnormally...I tried to call the dealer about the warranty to see if this was covered...they never called me back....on 6/15/13 at about 13,000...I went back to my guy...he informed me that the front tires were indeed bald already, and suggested I go to the dealer to see what they could do....I was greeting by a very smug, cocky and rude service manager named john.....he told me Chrysler does not stand behind the tires or the alignment.....really john"??? even at 13000 you don't see a possible problem ?? what did I pay 26,000 $ for ?" at this point john and I exchanged some words and he said you too.....ended up having my guy take care of this...600 $ later, and feeling much safer, I now have two new tires on the front, fixed the alignment and also put in two front camberts. Which he thought were defective from the factory knowing the car has not been hit.. also have noticed the when driving at lower speeds (10-30) that it seems like the acceleration seems to struggle or wants to skip at times....I have seen this issue mentioned before. While my issues do not compare to some of these others on here....an issue still the same that cost me 600 $ and an issue that will lead me to another dealer when the time comes !!!!!!

Have had my Dodge purchased new for a little less than one year. At around 20,000 miles I noticed the tires seemed to be wearing excessively which I thought was strange with new tires. I requested at my next oil change to have them rotated to see if that would help. Never paid it much more attention until my traction light kept coming on when driving in regular weather conditions in addition to wet conditions. I contacted the dealer had my car inspected. The suspension and alignment seemed to be fine there was no explanation why my tires at that point 28,000 were balled and down to the tread indicators on all four tires. The dealership contacted kumho who advised I did not have a warranty for regular tread wear and Dodge states they have nothing to do with the tires the warranty is through kumho. Well would you expect to have an unsafe vehicle to drive because of no tread being left at 28,000 miles? I would not until I contacted kumho to discuss myself and were advised that the tires are made out of a compound that is not meant to last that long and are not of the same material as you would buy a new set of tires of the same brand and size from a tire dealership directly. They make the tires to the manufacturer specifications and they are not meant to last so balled tires at 20,000 miles is acceptable and safe for new Dodge Journey owners! when I am in an accident with my family because of these tires being made out of a compound that is only meant to last a few miles then someone will here me then I am sure! bad business move to make inferior tires to put on new vehicles and then point the fingers at eachother and no one is responsible! sad!

I purchased the vehicle on June 15,2012. Unexpectedly, on September 22, 2012 my vehicle lost control at the location I 287nb exit 41A parsippany ramp onto 80 E traffic then my vehicle lost control and slammed onto the guard rail repeatedly. I immediately notified john johnson of the incident and I pleaded for them to send me a tow truck because of my 100,000 mi warranty. Further, I contacted the manufacturers Chrysler group and explained the situation. Eventually, because of the accident cause and effect they took the vehicle and send for a contractor inspector from Pennsylvania to inspect the car. After the inspection, the contractor contacted me and told me he is sending in the report to Chrysler and wait a week before contacting them for a copy of the report. Moreover, I followed up, and Chrysler could not tell me who was handling my case. Finally, after pursuing my case someone told me that my vehicle case file was closed and sent to the legal department because it was determined that my vehicle steering wheel went out. Further, I was told that someone would be in contact with me shortly. No one contacted me and several weeks passed and I still didn't hear anything from the Chrysler group. I tried again until I got an answer and I was told to expect a letter and no further information was provided. Eventually, after a long wait, I received a letter that stated that my claim is denied and that the inspector did not find any manufacturing defect that caused the accident. I asked for a copy of the report and Chrysler refuse to provide me with the inspection report that gathered information from the vehicle imaging onboard computer systems. Additionally, I am still without my car or a car. My family and I have had pain and suffering and hardship over this ordeal. And I am still making monthly payments for a car I don't have or drive. Can you please help me?
