The contact owns a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500. When the vehicle was shifted into the reverse position, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to reverse. The contact shifted back to neutral and then to reverse, and the vehicle reversed. While driving at approximately 45 mph, the vehicle started to shift without being prompted. The failures recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 97V084000 (power train). The failure mileage was approximately 125,000. The VIN was unavailable.
Headlamp switch overheats and could lose lights. Has to wait 15 minutes before lights come back on. Took to dealer. He has put on 3 headlamp switches. Consumer is still having the same problem. Also, speedometer goes out when very hot.
