Hard to believe that modern paint only lasts around 10 years and you can look at vehicles painted in the 70s and the paint looks better on the 40 year old cars than vehicles only 15 years old!

When I bought the truck over the winter I didn't know the rust was as bad as it looked. I brought it to Maaco and they painted it black for a good price, but the stock paint on dodge ram trucks really does stink since I noticed that my truck isn't the only one with the same problem.

I am the original owner of this truck. After about 5 years, the paint started peeling everywhere, the roof, hood doors and bed. The truck runs great and I love it, but it looks like sh*t.

The paint has pealed off the side of the bed and the roof. On the roof it has caused it to start rusting. Its an eye sore and embarassing to drive. The paint is so thin you can see primer through the paint. The truck was very well takin care of untill this happened. Its like the paint has washed off.
