I own a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 which I purchased new in November of 1998. In 2003 the dash board started cracking, and it now looks like a jigsaw puzzle. Chrysler said that it was not covered since the warranty was up. Every Dodge Ram from 98-01 that I have looked at has the same problem. I also had the roof of the truck repainted at hill-kelly Dodge in pensacola fl in 2004 because it was peeling. The clear coat is now coming off of the roof, and the dealership that painted it said that they could not help me since it was over three years ago. If you could please give me some advice, I would be very grateful. Thank you
Dash board is cracking all over. It just started a few months ago and is getting worst. My truck is in show condition and this really bites. I think Dodge should fix this problem with a recall. I don't think my airbag will work because the housing it seats into is cracked too.
I own a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. This past summer the dash board just started cracking and the dash board pieces are falling out constantly. I now have only a partial dashboard left with holes in it big enough to put your hands through. Even while I am driving, smaller pieces will pop off the dash and shoot at me. I am reading complaints all over the internet regarding the exact same thing, O I know it's not a problem unique to me.
1999 Dodge laramie 1500 quad 4X4. Dash has cracked and broke into pieces and fallen into dash wiring harnesses. Currently has only affected the front speakers. Concerns about the airbag and headlamp wires located in the same area.
I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with 64,000 miles. Just recently I have noticed that the dash developed a crack that grew in length on the drivers side. Now there is a nother crack on the passenger side of the truck. The crack on the drivers side goes from the windshield all the way to the top of the dash. The other one isn't that big but it is starting to get bigger.

My dash board is cracking day after day and it keeps getting worse. It started above the air bag section and I'm worried after some time if this may have some safety issue problems. The quality of the dash board is cheaply made.

My 1999 Dodge Ram truck 1500 began getting cracks on the dash in 2006. I reported it and was told there is not anything that can be done since it is not a recalled part. Since that time I have a huge opening on my dash and continues to get larger every day. I am concerned about safety issues such as air bag, electrical system, steering wheel, power brakes. I am a single mother with this as my primary and only vehicle and well I need not tell you what you already know...I can not afford to be w/O transportation nor w/O safety regarding my vehicle.
1999 Dodge Ram 1500 pick up. Dash board is collapsing, I'm worried that this could lead to electrical problems. I.e headlights going out or something worse. This seems to be a huge problem for Dodge truck owners. There needs to be a recall.

Dashboard is falling apart pieces are coming off if an accident were to occur I might be hit by a flying object in the eye and not be able to minimize damage on my 1999 Dodge Ram the company should be responsible for this repair.
I drive a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 and im having dashboard problems thought it was just mine at first but than I got on the internet and did research about it and its not just my truck there is alot of other complaints about the same problem the dashboards in the 99 Dodge Ram 1500 crack and leave big holes exposing wires the news said it could lead to a safety issue.
1999 Dodge Ram 1500 dashboard cracking into large pieces causing sharp edges exposed on the dashboard. Also large pieces falling under dash on top of passenger airbag which could cut airbag. An person can and will be seriously injured from the sharp edges and debris from these manufacturing flawed dashboards. Possibility of the passenger airbag failing due to being cut by failed dashboard. This is a safety issue!!
The trucks dashboard become cracking and has become falling apart. I have had an accident with the truck but this has became in issue before the accident happened.
