On 14jun02 I replaced the original equipment tires with new ones. At that time I was informed that there was something wrong with my van. I was shown where the original equipment rotor, on the left front tire, was too large a diameter for the wheels. The tire had to be forced off and on. Since I had the tires rotated both wheels were now warped. In forcing the T he wheels onto the rotor, the lugs appeared to be damaged. They also told me that an inordinate amount of weights had to be used to try to balance the wheels. I believe that this can be a problem and since this is all original equipment, I believe Dodge should take responsibility. I contacted Dodge and was told that this was my problem. I don't know what other defects may be associated with this defect. Thanks for all the help you can provide.

This was brought to my attention by another owner of the same vehicle. I was advised that my front tires were bald. I checked them and found they were ok. I had already replaced two of them in less than two years. Turns out the person advising me had also done so and there was still another person (we all belong to the same church and drive the same vehicle) experiencing the same problem. The front tires are wearing excessively and the dealership is aware of the situation but has elected to do nothing about it. The wrong tires are being sold with this vehicle. I was told they finally got the dealership to agree to the fact that they were the wrong tires and they replaced them with truck tires because the van is on a truck chasis. I'm on my second set and have fewer than 25,000 miles on my van! (tiresize: P235/75R15)

Tires, though we haven't experienced a blow out or treads peeling off, the tires are wearing much quicker than they should. With only 12,000 mile on the vehicle, the tires look like it's been driven 50,000 miles. Mid October we called chrsyler in auburn hills, to let them know how unsafe we feel driving this truck. We have had this truck brought back to the dealer eleven times for warranty work, eight of which were for brake problems.( dot number: M32kerhx tire size: P245/75R16 )
