A very dangerous problem with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up is occurring on a daily basis when I use the turn signal - windshield wiper - high beam " multi-switch". when trying to signal a left turn by pushing down on the "multi-switch" lever(left turn signal flashes two or three times then right turn signal activates uncommanded) if I try to engage the right turn signal some times it won't signal / flash at all. My truck only has 46,000 miles on it, not a good testimate for Dodge. I read in a Dodge repair website / forum that a lot of the same problems are occurring with the Dodge Ram pick-ups and mini vans. (all years) is there a recall or will a recall be considered in the near future?

Truck stalls daily. Only stalls when coming to a stop. Once completely stopped the tachometer jolts up and down, making the truck lurch forward, and will sometimes stall completely. Does not happen while driving, or at low speeds, only at complete stop and in drive. If in neutral this does not happen. This is unsafe to lose control of your truck and at times it lurches forward trying to get the correct RPM. I have seen all over the internet how widespread this problem is and Dodge has done nothing about it. Many times I have seen where this has occurred to people while driving! this is an automatic transmission, everything checks out fine except this, it has to be a computer problem and needs replaced. I see often where people change many parts, sometimes helping but usually not.

When trying to signal a turn (either way) the signal either goes the opposite of what you want or doesn't work at all. Have been stopped due to non signal on a turn, explained the issue and showed them how it didn't work, then all of sudden works, but is the opposite turn signal....got off without anything but a verbal warning to fix. Also the wipers act up, turn on intermittent and the wipers go fast and then will suddenly stop in mid wipe and won't return to its normal position. They also will not go on intermittent or slow at all, but will go on the fast wiper speed. The instrument panel only lights up on certain clusters since the issues started with the wipers and turn signals. I believe this truly is a safety issue and should be addressed by daimler Chrysler!!!

The turn signal/wiper/lights assembly appears to have failed. When attempting to make a right turn signal, nothing happens. When making a left turn signal, the right signal happens instead. Now, everything has failed. No brights, no turn signals, no wipers. Researching on the internet, especially on the Dodge truck forums, it seems to E quite a common problem. In fact that is where I got the link to this form to fill out.

When I slow down, and specifically turn the wheel in either direction, my Dodge will randomly stall. The radio will stay on and the only way I know the truck has stalled is because I am not going anywhere. Once I put it in neutral it starts right up and takes off. This is extremely dangerous and has almost caused accidents. Took it to my local Dodge dealership and they have no clue what it could be as they were "unable to duplicate" the problem.

When applying left turn signal, often the vehicles right signal activates, very dangerous as other drivers may make adjustments based upon your signaled direction. Often applying the right signal, will not produce any activation at all.

When I turn on my left turn signal my right turn signal blinks. Some times my wipers won't come on or stop running. I am told that the multifunction switch needs to be replaced. This is definitely a safety issue.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact noticed a problem with the windshield wipers which stopped functioning on delay. They would stop in the middle of the windshield when he deactivated them. He later noticed that the left turn signal and the left headlight failed to function. A warning code illuminated on the instrument panel; however, he was unable to identify the code. The contact called an automotive parts store who stated that the problem could have been caused by the multi-function switch. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The current mileage was approximately 150,000. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup slt turn signals malfunction intermittently. Right signal will blink when left signal is activated and vice versa. Have had problem for approximately (1) month. Dealer indicates no recall or service bulletins issued. I ordered used replacement multifunction switch from E-bay. Still deciding if it is something I want to attempt on my own. Others on internet have had similar problems and found that replacing this part resolves the problem.

Vehicle is stalling and losing complete loss of power, very hard to steer vehicle. Occurs usually at low speeds, while turning or just driving straight. I have to place my vehicle in park & restart my engine. This has happened twice while I was turning in traffic & nearly collided with other vehicles with 3 small children in the car. I have requested for this to be diagnosed and researched several times by mechanics, but the defect has never been duplicated, resulted in a diagnosis, or resolved by a mechanic. It randomly occurs and just occurred again today in traffic, while turning left on an inside lane. I had cars behind and next to me. I had to come to a slow stop, but was unable to turn the wheel enough to remain in my lane, almost causing an accident. I feel this can result in a potentially fatal accident and want to report this immediately. I don't know what to do aside from seeking legal counsel at this point.

Upon starting my vehicle it doesn't immediately respond to pressing the gas pedal. When it does get going the vehicle stalls and shuts off at the first slow down I make. This happens every morning. I have done nothing to fix the problem yet because no one can tell me what is causing it.

The contact owns the 2005 Dodge Ram pickup 1500 series. The vehicle stalled when approaching a traffic lights and stop sign. The vehicle stalled while driving 10 mph. The engine shut down and the vehicle lost power. Occasionally was able to restart the vehicle immediately. Otherwise, it took 3-5 minutes to restart the vehicle. There were no warning indicator lights present when the vehicle stalled. The road conditions were not a factor. The dealer was uable to diagnose the failure. The current and failure mileage was 17,800.

2005 Ram 1500 decelerated while in cruise control on an upgrade. After several seconds the vehicle kicked down and raced the hemi engine. This was with enough power to push me into my seat. It exceeded the set speed by 7 mph and then returned to normal cruise behavior. Upon exiting the highway I stopped for a light at the end of the exit ramp. While waiting for the light to change the engine attempted at stall and then raced the engine up to 2500 rpms, then back to stall. This occurred three times before returning to normal idle. Wilson Dodge in torrington ct is finding no codes in the computer to explain the erratic behavior of the vehicle.

My vehicle is a swb quad cab 4X4 1500 6 ft bed. I was traveling at 30 -35- mph going through a slight right curve when the engine shut off and I lost all power in the vehicle (in traffic) I put the vehicle in neutral and restarted the truck at about 20 - 25 mph and continued on. The trucked had been running for about 20 min before it happened. The second time I was leaving work and pulled up to the automatic gate and stopped to wait for it to open and the truck just died. It had only been running for about 2-3 min.
