Ram 1500 Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,000 miles

Truck ran fine all day. Got in it this evening to run to the store and it now won't turn over and there is a clicking sound under the hood and the lights inside and electronics are going haywire. The CD changer is trying to reset, the satellite radio is resetting and the instrument panel levers are going back and forth fast.

Ram 1500 ST V8 Magnum

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,420 miles

We went to start our Dodge Ram 1500 at night in a rural church parking lot and the horn blew out of control, the rear tail light energized, the doors open signal stayed on, dome light came on and the odometer even reset. Turning the key off and on did not change this. I had to drive home like this and then disconnect the battery to make it stop. The Dealer stated that the repairs involved re-programming the electronics to correct an error. Yet I received no! recall letter concerning this and no email warning concerning this problem (ie. no communication what so ever) to let me know ahead of time that I needed to be re-programmed ( If in deed this permanently fixed the problem which I doubt.) I'm frightened and don't look forward to the next horrifying electronics malfunction. I bought this Truck NEW and it only has 8400 miles on it and is already falling apart. I have no confidence whatsoever in Dodge or Chrysler vehicles and will avoid them in the future!!!!!

Ram 1500 SLT 4.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 11,700 miles

Went out to start the vehicle and upon starting the horn started blowing all the lights came on but none of the gauges would work. I could not figure out what the heck was going on so shut the truck off and tried to see if I bumped something. I restarted the truck and the horn did not blow but all the lights came on and none of the gauges would work. I drove out to the dealership and waited for them to open. They said they would have to hook it up to the computer to see what is wrong this time. I am not waiting to see. This is the fourth major thing that has gone wrong with this truck in 11,700 miles after buying new and quite frankly I am afraid to take it out of town. Don't buy a DODGE!
