This has been a very good car over the last 15 years. i drove this car, my son learned to drive on this car and now my daughter is learning to drive on this car. Regular maintenance has been done. 2 major problems occurred over the last 15 years. at this has been a very good car over the last 15 years. i drove this car, my son learned to drive on this car and now my daughter is learning to drive on this car. regular maintenance has been done. 2 major problem occured over the last 15 years. at 63,000 miles the water pump was replaced and at 72,000 miles the head gasket was replaced. at 125,000 miles all the plugs and wires were replaced for the first time. recently the car won\'t start unless it sits for at least 4 hours after the last start up. the tech that tried to diagnosis it is a ford tech, since i work at a ford dealership. his findings were: fuel pressure 45-55 psi. has good spark. he does not hear the fuel pump come on when he turns the key to the on position. sometimes if you turn the key to on/off position back and forth several times it will start. we don't have the equipment to run a computer test here and i don't want to spend a lot of money because of the age of the car. the car is inspected until march 2008 so i would like to keep it running another few years. and at 72,000 miles the head gasket was replaced. at 125,000 miles all the plugs and wires were replaced for the first time.
