The car shows that the reverse gear is not available and it drives on d2 then it tells me to check the transmission, and also the check engine light came on. I know there was a recall in 2014, but I did not owned the car then. I bought in 2017. I can not afford to pay for a new transmission. I wish Chrysler would do something about it. Guess I am stuck with a lemon and still paying for it. Never buy a Fiat again nor recommend it to anybody.

The first time I had a problem with the transmission was around 37,000 miles when it just didn't take the shifting from drive to reverse, after few attempts I turned off the car waited few minutes, turned it backed on, it went back to normal for about 10,000 miles, after that as I was waiting for the stop light and all of a sudden it did a "jumping movement" and shut down in the middle of the street. I took it to the dealer a week later (because they had no appointments available before that) the dealer just reset the transmission computer because they didn't find anything wrong with the car as the engine light was off already. Problem is still no solved because I still had the same issue today, I'm planning to just show up at the dealer tomorrow to see what they will do this time.

This is so inconvenient as I'm sure we all get a new car to avoid this type of issues, I was expecting to deal with stuff like this after 100,000 miles not now. I was planning to get a Fiat for my daughter but now, we will just look for another make, Chrysler keep making too many mistakes with their cars (I owned a PT Cruiser before that I spent so much money on fixing it than enjoying it) I am done with Chrysler!

I have a factory recall for the transmission problem and the engine light is on for this problem. Fiat of Tacoma told me that any Chrysler/Dodge dealer could handle any warranty problems in Alaska. Now that I have a warranty issue, they are refusing to service the vehicle in Alaska. I have documentation that other warranty issues have been taken care of through the Chrysler/Jeep dealer in Alaska from another Fiat dealer in Seattle.
