I noticed the crack on the upper portion driver side where the tint is, I wouldn't have noticed it until I washed it and quite honestly I have not washed the car in over 6 months (we have a drought here). I didn't notice any external damages (from a rock e.t.c.) but there seems to be a crack coming from the underside of the windshield. I have had cracked windshields before and there was always a chip of some sort that leads to the crack.

Curious I went down to the Fiat Burlingame delaership and even the tech told me he agrees, it looks like excess glue from the factory had expanded from heat and cracked it. He said it definitely looks like a warranty repair but need to take pictures to get an approval from Fiat.

Long story short Fiat denied the claim (probably deny all windshield claims because that was the fastest response out of all this) 2 months later, after multiple trips to the dealership for "better pictures" Fiat has denied my claim again and the Service Manager at Burlingame Fiat has refused to authorize an override.

Fiat USA told me the Service Manager has to right to call in and override since he is on site, further more it took weeks to contact him and for him to respond to FIAT USA.

I have been noticing more and more Fiat delaerships are dropping the brand, there has been 3 that have closed around me and makes me wonder (and glad I leased and not purchased).

Fiat & Fiat Burlingame has refused to stand behind their warranty even after their own tech has said it should be under warranty.

FIAT USA (Ken) has been great though with follow up calls and really tried to help me so kudos to him!

But my next car will not be one of these Chrysler owned brands, in fact I was going to purchase the Alfa Romeo 4C, beautiful car indeed. This will not happen now, I am not going to drop $70000 on a product they will not stand behind.
