The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. While driving 30 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart after the vehicle cooled off. The dealer was unable to diagnose the vehicle. The contact received a letter stating that the vehicle needed a software update to give a visual warning for when the transmission was about to fail. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.
