My transmission seems to be off, I'm having trouble when driving with it "skipping" its harder for it to accelerate when driving. You hear a few thuds and then my rpms will go up before the car will move. I don't really know the proper terms. It can happen anytime regardless if I'm at a stop light or just driving down the road. It has happened on multiple occasions. I've never had a transmission do this. It can be scary when I start to drive and then my car doesn't move but instead makes the thudding noise before eventually taking off faster than expected. I can feel it in the car when the thudding happens
We bought the car February, 2016. As we drove the car more, we began to notice shuttering and chattering. An ase certified mechanic test drove our car. He said it had a bad torque converter shutter that gets worse the more you drive the car. When in sport mode, when you shift from 1st, it skips 2nd, and goes straight to 3rd. There was loud clattering noise while driving. The transmission slipped when gearing down and trying to accelerate, especially uphill. May 9, 2017, the transmission was worked on at Mountaineer automotive, beckley, wv. November 28, 2017, the transmission was worked on at Mountaineer automotive, beckley, wv. March 3, 2020, I took the car to my mechanic at act auto, beckley, wv because the car had been making a whining sound that continued to get louder. I was told that the front pump of the transmission needed replaced. My wife and I are afraid to drive, for fear that the car will stall out or cause us to have an accident.
I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta with 88,000 miles on it and it has the faulty dps6 transmission that slips out of gear and shudders so bad under accelerating that it sometimes barely moves, this is a major safety issue and Ford knows it!, I have taken my vehicle to Ford to asses the transmission and they agreed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be repaired under the new extended warranty that they offer, the problem is my vehicle has a rebuilt title and they refuse to do the warranty work even though this is a serious problem and Ford know it since they are in arbitration for it. Just because my vehicle has a rebuilt title doesn't mean that it should not get repaired under the warranty. This issue needs to be made a factory recall so they will have to fix it!

When driving and come to a stop, the car won't shift into gear. I have to turn the car off to be able to shift into neutral. It does this when sitting at a stop or trying to take off or back up.
Manual transmission pops out of the first gear upon initial take off/acceleration rendering vehicle motionless, sometimes twice in a row - creating a safety hazard when vehicle moved across traffic lines with other vehicles approaching from the side.
Still have intermittent shaking and the car rolls back when on an incline like a standard. Also, after making turns there is a hesitation when accelerating.
After getting a letter offering a clutch replacement, I brought my vehicle in to the dealership and all they did was diagnose it. Still lurches forward at lower speeds and there's a lack of power if you get on it like sea doo in deep water.
Clutch pedal will stay stuck down in manual transmission 6 speed. Intermittent, but repeatable (not every time but doesn't seem to stop happening) prevents car from moving forward when this happens. Clutch is disengaged while this is occurring. Can happen whether shifting stopped or while in motion. Lifting on the clutch pedal by hand (or foot) will reengage the clutch. Has happened when shifting from 1st to 2nd in an intersection, could not proceed under power in any gear till manually (awkwardly) reaching down and lifting pedal while traffic approaching me.
Aug. 11, 2019 went out to turn on the car and the battery was dead. I got a boost and the transmission malfunction service now light came on and the wrench light came on. I bought a brand new battery and the lights still didn't turn off. I took it to a Ford dealership had the fuel changed still nothing. Now the dealership is saying that there is something wrong with the transmission bearings. I do not have that type of money and I don't know what to do now I am still paying for this vehicle I've only had it two and a half years.
Major problems in my 2014 Ford Fiesta with the dps6 dual clutch transmission. At times you cannot get it to shift out of first gear. Very dangerous when you cannot get you car to go above 20 mph because it is stuck in first. Tach is hitting 7000 RPM's because you can't get it to shift. You have to keep slowing and accelerating until it finally shifts. Then the other major problem is when you shift to park it really is not in park. A warning light comes on the dash and warns the car is not in park even though I have parked and taken the key out. If I am on a slope the car will start rolling. You have to set the parking brake because there is no reliable way to get it to go into park. I have this is a know issue with these transmissions. Thousands of people have ongoing problems similar to mine. I have already taken the car to Ford once where they replaced the transmission control module. Within 2 months the same things were happening again.
Vehicle stalls randomly and dies at low speeds, Ford will not address it as a part of their recalls, was told I need to pay for all repairs out of pocket, very dangerous to drive on the highway and sporadic occurrences of stalling. Engine and wrench light will randomly come on and off before the vehicle begins stalling. It will quite literally sieze up on occasion and not be able to accelerate. Vehicle will also randomly die in the middle of driving using gears 2-3.
