It's terrible that a company as large as Ford will not stand behind their workmanship! Shabby at best, lazy at worst!!

Our family of 6 will never buy a Ford again, and we are going to be selling the 2 we have now!!!

Stand behind your vehicles.

This is why Americans buy foreign built automobiles!!!!!!!!!!!!

FORD RECALLED MY VEHICLE IN 2016 FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY PARTS FOR IT TO REPAIR. THE DASH IS BULGING AND WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM AND THAT THEY COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT, IT HAS BEEN A YEAR NOW AND STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE, AND NO FIX FOR THE GROSSLY BULGING DASHBOARD WHERE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS LOCATED. WHAT'S THE DEAL, THE RECALL IS GOING ON A YEAR NOW>>>

Dashboard started buckling around passenger airbag. Attempted to glue back together, did not work. Repair shop said wasn't worth it to fix it. Finally bought and installed a fabric cover for entire dash. Between the cover and re- glueing the warped edges this fixed the problem.

Update from May 5, 2018: The dashboard has recently started to buckle again. Not to the extent originally but the dash is not smooth.

One day out of the blue, I noticed the dash on my car started coming apart near the front heater vent. I found it very annoying because when I would turn on the windshield defrost the air wouldn't correctly defrost my front windshield. This summer I took it too an upholstery shop and they tried to glue it back into place as much as they could. It cost about $150 bucks but it looks much better than it did before. Then not too long after that, my dash started warping by airbag. I like my fusion. It has been extremely dependable but the unsightly look of the dash makes me cringe. When I love cars, I keep them forever. But if it would cost me 3000 or more to replace the dash, that would make a great down payment on a new car.

bulging of the dash around the passenger air bag

Got in my car this morning and noticed the dash bulging around the passenger air bag. I'm worried that the air bag will deploy while driving the car or not deploy if there is an accident. I did not find any recalls on this for my make, model, & year. I reported the problem to NHTSA via safercar.gov since I had seen that others were having the same issue.

I really love Ford and this has really annoyed me and made me love Ford a lot less. I wish they would fix this issue. I seen no point in showing this problem because they probably wouldn't have fixed it :(

Noticed in warm weather, the dash board warped under the passenger side air bag. Pushed it back in place, but it wouldn't stay. Safety hazard?

Haven't had many problems with the car but notice the dash material around the airbag is lifting and I have ran into 4 other people with the same car and year having the same problem. I want to know if this is a recall or not because this is something that is not covered under warranty and I am not paying 1,600 dollars to get this fix while I am still making payments on it. This issue along with the lock on my driver side door is starting to give me second thoughts about Ford cars. I do not see myself buying another Ford again because it seems like the material put into the car is not good material and can be very annoying and makes the car look unattractive. I have always heard Ford cars were good cars but I am definitely having second thoughts.

No one is willing to try and re-glue the dash cover because it is peeling around the edge of the passenger side air bag (side closest to the passenger seat). Because there is a foam rubber pad under the cover itself, there's no guarantee that the glue would adhere sufficiently to fix the problem. And it keeps getting worse with each passing month.

Extremely disappointed with the Ford quality engineers in this particular instance. It is ruining an otherwise positive ownership experience on this used vehicle that we bought from a Ford dealer in 2011.

Although we love the ride, performance and handling of the all wheel drive V6 Fusion, we'll probably dump the vehicle rather than buy a new dash cover.

Certainly hope our 2013 Focus holds up better.

Actually, the dash peeling is exactly like other complaint about dash. It is separating around passenger air bag. I have talked twice to Corporate Ford and been rejected for help to fix problem. I believe it is a danger. What if airbag blows? Ford's better idea is to screw their customers. I guess they think their cars should only last less than 5 yrs.

Car belonged to my dad when he passed away recently. So this could have been a issue a lot sooner? It's sad that ford will not do anything about this! I am hearing more and more complaints about this. FORD! If you are going to use cheap material, you need to pay the piper!

Took the car to the dealer when problem first started. The Ford technician said it is caused from the inferior glue that is used in Mexico when the car is built. The shop manager said that the entire dash would have to be replaced to fix the problem at a cost of $2500. The car is beyond the 36,000 mile warranty and would not be covered. I feel it shouldn't matter. It's not a working part. It's the dash. It does nothing but sit there...and separate. I feel it is a safety issue because the problem is between the airbag and the front seat passenger. This is the first Ford I have ever owned and will be my last. The quality is far inferior to the Nissan I traded in for this piece of crap.
