Heading out of town I clicked on the cruse control, I used the set+ button to accelerate to 50mph when I got to the desired speed I let off the button only to find the accelerate continued. I had to put on the brakes just to slow me down a little, so I put the transmission in neutral to avoid hitting the car in front as the accelerating continued and rpms went to 5. I pulled over and shut off the engine. After waiting a few minutes I restarted the car. No accelerating, I made it home without any incident. Been three days now without any further incident. Haven't used the cruse control since. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Had just dropped my daughter off at daycare and was on my way to work when suddenly, my car started to accelerate. I immediately shifted into neutral, manual transmission, all of a sudden, RPM's went high while I was coasting to get off the road. Then the power shut off, had to maneuver into a parking lot where I made it safely. I looked at the dashboard as the power shut off, the Wrench light came on, battery light came on and check engine symbol was on. Restarted it after 5 mins, no problem.

Drove it back to the house and having it towed to the dealership tonight. Although, I JUST had my throttle sensor replaced AND PCM replaced. Definitely demanding that they fix it. I'm assuming faulty throttle? FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS AND FIX THIS PROBLEM ASAP.
