I received a recall notice I contacted my dealer and it seems that it will be months before this is resolved. Now that I know, I am uncomfortable with driving my car and would like a rental until this issue is remedied. My dealer (sorens Ford - brookfield, wi) indicated that they would not be able to authorize a rental until the parts come in for the repair. Is there any other recourse that I may have??
Takata recall this is not a new recall and all Ford will say is that they are working to get parts to fix the problem..with no idea of when this might be taken care of..this is a very dangerous situation. Nothing has happened..am I to understand that until I or my loved ones are injured that I can not even enter a complaint?

Went to worthington Ford in long beach over a year ago (exact date not sure) after getting an airbag recall letter and was told they did not have air bags replacements for my car at the time. I checked several times and still no replacement. I service my car there all the timer and they never checked about this. Other customers were there for the same recall and were told the same thing. The dealership never called me if the part was in. Still waiting. When are these airbags going to come in?

Brakes are spongy and intermittently do work at all..have replaced calipers twice and bled the lines only to have the same problem. Air bag on passengers side is coming apart in dash. Drivers side door handle snapped and the doors lock themselves even with key in ignition running. Looking online I see that many have had the same issues.
