The contact owns a 2009 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, without warning the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that there was an abnormal odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. The contact coasted the vehicle to the road shoulder. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to start-up. The contact left the vehicle on the shoulder to get assistance with towing. The vehicle was towed to the residence where an independent mechanic was contacted and came out to the residence. No dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was diagnosed and determined that the power train control unit and ignition coils failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not drivable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximate 90,000.
