2018 Ford Fusion 2.0 experiencing check engine light, rough start, rough idling, misfire at cylinder 2, low coolant. Took to local mechanic shop that told me this engine has a known engine failure problem and the engine would have to be replaced. Took vehicle to dealership where the car was purchased and informed them of the issue. Sadly, I was informed that the vehicle is no longer covered under warranty. Payoff on this vehicle is around $19,000 on this vehicle that I am no longer able to drive and cant afford to have fixed out of pocket. Monthly payment on this vehicle is $535.00 a month and I still have several more years left on this vehicle as well having to have continuous full coverage on the vehicle. This is also my only vehicle. I'm trying to avoid a having to let this vehicle go back and end up with a repo on my credit report. I should not have to be stuck with a vehicle I can't drive or afford to have fixed. Ford should take care of this problem as it is my understanding that Ford is well aware of this problem and corrected it on the later 2020 and newer models. I've also been in contact with Capstone Law Firm who is currently litigating this matter. I hope I an able to have this vehicle fixed free of charge. There's just too much owed on this vehicle that I'm not able to drive.
