Fusion Hybrid SE Hybrid 2.0L Hybrid

  • Automatic transmission
  • 160,000 miles

Not only is it expensive to have this fixed as I was told possibility of costing between $2300 to $3500 to repair but also when I bought this car it was advertised to get 40 to 48 mpg and as of yet I'm getting maybe 35 miles per gallon and unfortunately I went into debt to purchase this car!!!

I have regrets about buying this car from day 1 even though it is a nice car but I DIDN'T BUY IT BECAUSE IT'S A NICE CAR! There are other cars out there that are nice cars! I bought this because IT WAS IN WRITING THAT IT GETS 40 TO 48 MILES PER GALLON OF GAS and that is the ONLY reason I bought this car!!!

Fusion Hybrid SE 2.0L

First of all this issue happened only one week after owning the 2013 Fusion Hybrid. Power steering failed which caused steering to become very difficult as well as dangerous. Took car into dealership on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 and after their inspection found the problem, bad connector and fuse relay. Told they would order parts needed and I would have the car back by Wednesday, Feb. 27. Wednesday when I called I was told they would need another day for repairs. When I called back on Thursday, Feb. 28 I was told they didn't have all the parts and the car would be done on Friday, March 1. When I called the dealership on Friday, March 1 I was told the dealership could not locate the fuse link needed to make the necessary repairs, I then suggested to the service rep to remove the part they needed from a new car and he informed me he had asked the service manager and he said they were not going to do this. At this point I mentioned the lemon law and that I had purchased a new Ford Edge from them in 2007 and had a transmission issue they could not fix and Ford had to repurchase it back under the California Lemon Law and I guess we where heading in that direction again. At this point the service rep said he would talk to the service manager again and get back to me. One hour later he called and said he had received permission to remove part from a new car to facilitate the repairs and I would have the car back on Monday, March 4. What I find hard to believe is Ford is selling cars they can not provide parts for and this dealership put their own interest ahead of their customers. If I had not pushed the issue no telling how long they would have had the car before finding the part for repairs. I am very disappointed in Ford as well as this dealership. Sad to say if we experience any more problems regarding this issue or other issues Ford is probably going to get their car back and my dealings with Ford will come to an end once and for all.
