So first we noticed the speedometer just seeming wrong, so we drove my husband's mustang and my explorer next to each on the freeway while we talked on our cell phones to compare our speeds. His speedometer shows him going anywhere from 5-15 over what he is actually going, which has caused a few accidental tickets. Well MONTHS later, we realized the odometer was wrong too. No idea when that started messing up. We just started realizing that oil changes seemed to be getting waaay too close together. It goes up about 1.8 miles for every mile you actually drive, but no telling when this started...
We feel so cheated on this issue. The value of the car will forever be seen as way lower than it probably really would be because the miles are rediculously high on it, which is why we have never decided to fix it. There's no way of knowing how many miles are on it anyhow, so whats the point of investing more money? Time for a new car!
