The transmission began to slip every now and then... about 10 times over a period of 6 months... mainly when taking off from a complete stop. The transmission would not engage and the RPM's would raise... when finally the car would jolt you into gear. One day it got so bad, we tried to trade the car in, but were too upside down. We were stuck with it! The transmission began to slip and the engine would hardly do anything but rev all the time (drive or reverse). Took it in to get repaired, and after being told the car was not under warranty, we discover it actually is! We get the car back after repairs were made for an internal leak (a blown seal) and now the car is still acting up!!! So it is back again at the dealership.. and we are awaiting a diagnosis and a fix!!! Now, the transmission will not engage into third gear unless the RPM's are very high... the transmission is still whining, and once third gear does engage, it jolts the hell out of you. Plus, the check engine light is on since the idiots at the dealership did not fully inspect their patch job. It is also hard as hell to get it out of park! Best of luck to those who have warranty... they will "try" to fix it, but that don't mean they will make it like it was before the repairs!
