Air bag light will stay on during hot days or if car has been left outside in heat during initial startup. Turning car off then on sometimes corrects the issue. Car had 55K miles on it when it first started to happen. Seen issue happening to many other 2015-17 Mustang owners online

When traveling at 65 miles a hour the airbag light, traction control lights and ABS light came on the vehicle also lost power steering. I was told that because the airbag light was on the airbags would not function. Dealers report that rear driver hub driver side caused the issue. Dealer refused to cover under warranty even though airbag system was still under warranty.

We were stopped in fast lane in freeway traffic, car in center lane hit back passenger side, pushing us into Tahoe in front of us. Driver that hit us was going 30-35 mph on impact. Only the drivers leg airbag went off, passenger airbag popped cover off on right side and got stuck so did not deploy. Drivers front steering wheel airbag did not deploy. Driver injured with severe bruising. Back windshield shattered in tiny pieces across entire inside of car. I have confirmed this car did not have any airbag recalls associated with it.

Takata recall. I was involved in a car accident on the freeway. A trailer truck turned into my driver side rear wheel destroying it and pushing me towards the front of his truck. To prevent ending up in front of the truck I turned the wheel to my right causing me to crash into a construction barrier at 30mph. My front right tire took all the impact causing my car to go up about 3-4 feet and slamming down hard. My airbags never deployed.

My 2015 Mustang was totaled on March 11 2018 and none of the airbags came out and on inspection the state trooper said my seat beat misfired. When I contacted the Ford customer service center the guy had the nerve to ask me what did I want him to do about it!!!! I never received a recall at all from anyone!!!! I then ask him to have someone call me I have as to yet not received one phone call... this is just not the kind of response that will continue to sell Ford Mustang if I can't be safe or my family be safe what would make me want to own another one or even tell everyone my experience with Mustang and I have owned many of them I loved Mustangs but this really changes my view of Ford and Mustangs!!!

Seat belt tensioner: Seat belt tension is not retaining tension. Have spoken with dealer and showed them the problem and they agreed with my assessment and have ordered a new pre-tensioner for me. They also noted unnecessary slowness in the retraction of the passenger side seat belt tensioner and will order one for me if I ask for it (which I will). I am asking the NHTSA to contact Ford about this problem as other makes and models could also be affected.

Air bag defect since new vehicle delivery. I took delivery of this vehicle about two weeks ago and immediately left with it on vacation. When driving off the dealer lot I noticed that the air bag light in the dash was on. But thought this to be normal as that is how the dealer delivered it to me and that I am used to GM vehicles where the air bag light is on under proper conditions. Today while at the dealers body shop for minor paint repair I was told to immediately take the vehicle to their mechanical shop as the light on a Ford indicates the system is not working. The dealer was accommodating and in short order diagnosed the problem to be a defective drivers side air bag. They then took the part out of a similar new car in stock and replaced mine. The problem was not solved. I am now driving a loaner vehicle and being told that a clock spring is on order.

2015 Ford Mustang GT was in an accident, where I rear ended another vehicle. The front end was pushed in about 3-4 inches to the point where the drivers door no longer opens and the hood no longer closes, this prompted the knee airbags to go off, driver side airbag went off perfectly fine, however driver side deployed only half way (more like 1/4) which rendered it defective. Spoke to 2 separate Ford dealerships about it and was told they don't know how an airbag is supposed to work because they did not design it. Recorded the small conversation I had with the Ford dealership service rep, was short because they wouldn't help me, they just basically cut me off and as you can see the airbag failed to deploy properly.
