The contact owns a 2004 GMC Envoy XL. While driving 70 mph, the tread on the Michelin cross-terrain tires separated. A Michelin dealer inspected the tire, but could not determine the cause of failure. There were no visible signs of any foreign objects puncturing the tire. The road conditions were clear.
