Driver of the vehicle was on their way home when the steering wheel locked up at 40mph causing the driver to veer off the road going off into the ditch, jumping back over the road and into a tree at 40mph. Both front occupants where severely injured as they suffered extensive injuries to the forehead which was also cause by faulty seat belt mechanism's where their head's flew into the windshield. Driver Sustained severe injuries to their legs and arms.
