Sierra 1500 SLE 5.3L Vortec Afm

Door window seals are substandard. Allows rainwater to get inside doors soaking door lock actuators, power window motor and especially the speakers. After a couple of years, just past warranty expired, had to replace door lock actuators on front doors, all 6.5" speakers, only one still working was passenger front. Speakers aren't especially expensive but what a pain in the ass to replace as you have to take inside door panels off. If you purchase decent after-market speakers, either need adaptors at extra cost or extensive cutting, filing, sanding the OEM mounts to accomodate the new. Also either have to cut the existing wires and solder standard clips on or again purchase after-market adapters. By the way, it's really worth replacing the OEM speakers with after-market such as JBL, Pioneer, Kicker, Alpine etc. The OEM speakers look like they're made of craft paper and cheapo plastic sounding terrible. Replacing the door lock actuators is an even bigger prostate aggravation. Plus while taking the door panels off, really easy to break anchors, sealant, insulation, etc. Some GM asshole engineer stayed up really late designing this bullshit which only causes the owner to spend twice as much or more replacing these items.

My sunroof drains were allowing flowing water to come into the cab where the rear seat belts are connected to the walls of the truck. I had to get this fixed two rainy seasons in a row.

we have noticed a mildew smell for a long time and just thought it was the rugs we put in finally took them out washed down the whole truck and still stunk. every time we got in the truck we would cough. we did youtube and we thought there was a cabin filter there is none so we decided to open up the flooring and OMG it was soaked and mildew. So we went to work! did find some small leaks high in the dash sealed them, still water. this truck hardly gets used and rarely in the rain or snow. so now we brought it to Florida ripped the padding out bleached it power sprayed it to try and find the leak In the engine in all the window seals door seals from underneath still water Does anyone have any ideas? I am afraid to ride in the truck that it might make us sick
