On 26mar2017 I noticed a ticking noise coming from my vehicle. I took it to the dealership 27mar2017 and was told that I needed a new flywheel. I wanted a second opinion because I have never heard of a flywheel going bad in my life. After speaking with a few mechanics we all agreed that it was not the flywheel. On 4apr I took my vehicle to another dealer who confirmed that the ticking was the flywheel. The flywheel had to have been defective at time of manufacturing. It just cracked for no good reason other than it was poorly made. 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 flywheel just cracked out of nowhere endangering the lives of an entire family and who knows who else if it had shattered.the vehicle was ticking after a morning start while sitting idle.
