The vehicle 4WD system remains engaged and will not disengage. Upon further investigation the system effects steering and drivability. Also effects speed of the vehicle. The vehicle utilizes a code C0398 and show a message of the dash service 4WD. This is due to faulty software installed by the manufacturer. Will cause damage to mechanical parts if driven on the vehicle and is a safety hazard. GM reference # issued to me when issue complaint of the out of pocket cost to update the software as required by GM to fix their operating system. My reference number is 9-5058496526. Same issue resulted in 2015 GMC Sierra that caused GM to issue a service bulletin #28770. Software issues are not wear and tear components. GM faulty software is the responsibility of the GM as they can cause safety and damage to the mechanical parts of the vehicle.

For over 45K miles I have complained off a vibration coming from the rear of my GMC Sierra at 65 to 75 miles per hour. My supporting dealer that I purchased it from can't find the problem and is most likely out of business.this is an ongoing issue. Recently I went under the truck to find the entire frame is rusted from the gas tank back to the rear off the vehicle around the spare tire and elsewhere. Whats wrong with GM manufacturing, are they that cheap, that no paint is place on the frame. Additionally the chrome wheels that came with the vehicle are corroding yet another cheap process that GM refuses to address. Mind you I have always fixed and repaired my own vehicles. I have washed this vehicle so much by using a cold water hose under the vehicle and the top as well to get the salt and brine used by the northern states off the car and yet I still get the corrosion. How do I get GM. To fix the wrongs they have produced.

Dec. 11,2017 driving under 20 mph on a local road speed limit 30mph ball joint pulled out of control arm front drivers side. Front wheel fell over caused damage to tire and rim and disabled ABS system by cutting wires. Lucky I was not on interstate 84 going 65 mph in fishkill New York truck could have crashed with other vehicles or caused serious injury to occupants of my vehicle could have caused vehicle to roll over. Dealer claimed never heard of this happening and that I must have hit something to cause the ball joint to pull out of control arm, never hit anything not even a pot hole I am the only driver of this vehicle. Had to replace control arm which holds the upper ball joint which is pressed into control arm. Took dealer from Monday to Friday to complete repairs. Control arm not under warranty repairs cost $936.42. Found many complaints about ball joint and control arm separating on this vehicle online. Driver side front ball joint.
