Driving on the expressway during a very hard rain and my wipers stopped working had to quickly pull over because I couldn't see found out shortly afterwards there's a recall on ball joint on wipers but so far there is no fix for the problem in the meantime I can only drive my automobile when its not raining or snowing I don't want to repair on my own out of pocket and wait forever for a reimbursement from General Motors I'm not sure of exact date this happened but its been several months this is unacceptable.

I was driving in the rain and my front windshield wipers went out. I had to pull over and stop to avoid having an accident. I could hear the motor running but they would not move. I parked my car, got a ride home and went back and picked it up when it stopped raining. The next day I took it to the shop and dropped it off for repair. I was told that it was the transmission that was inoperable, but the warranty would not cover this. I paid $285.21 to have this repaired on 9/9/16. The following day in the mail I received a recall notice from GMC stating that their was a recall on my windshield wipers. I called GMC and explained that I had just paid to have them repaired. I spoke to jaylen and she stated that the dealership was aware of the recall and should have called GMC first and she would check with them. She called back in about 3 days stating GMC didn't event have the parts to repair the wiper and they would let me know if I would be reimbursed by them once they received the parts. That was 2 months ago and I have yet to hear from anyone. My vehicle was dropped off on 9/2/16 and not returned to me until 9/9/16. I was given a rental car that was covered under my warranty due to the length of time it took to repair.

The vehicle was in motion at night on highway 95 in a storm when both the windshield wipers stopped working, frozen in an upward fashion. The wiper on the drivers side went off the windshield all together. I had to then move the car over 3 lanes of traffic, while being unable to see, safely to the break down lane. My concern is that this may lead to an accident if driving during a heavy storm.
