I have a 2014 GMC Terrain SLT that when the lift gate is opened it goes all the way open, drops closed about 1/4 of the way and then opens fully again, then with power closes-slams shut. The first time it happened 3 days ago, it hit me in the head and knocked me to the ground. I called dealer where I purchased it from and the teck there said there were no noted problems or recalls for the "Terrain" models and I should come in and just have both the left side actuator and the right side gas strut replaced. Can anyone help with this matter - give me some advise???
