The ABS system on my car failed because of the actual computer control unit. It failed while driving causing the full system to fail. The car is a 2000 GMC Yukon. The fuse controlling the ABS system had to be removed as the pumps controlling the system would not turn off since the control unit failed. I was informed that this part would cost $1,000 to replace. A completely ridiculous price as I have since found out these parts are obviously faulty and fail regularly while in use.
