The contact owns a 2001 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that the brakes failed. The contact was able to stop the vehicle by using the emergency brake. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where it was determined that the front driver's side and rear brake lines failed because of rust. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 200,000.
The contact owns a 2001 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that the front and rear brake lines were corroded. The manufacturer advised the contact that they were no longer producing the brake lines. The contact had to have the brake lines customized for his specific vehicle. The dealer advised the contact that the failure was common for his year, make and model yet there were no recalls for the failure. The vehicle was left with the dealer where the contact was awaiting repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 119,000.
