When our car was new we had a pinging noise present when we would go from V4 mode to V8 mode. Because we felt it when accelerating, we thought it was bad gas but it turned out to be something wrong with the exhaust system. This is one of the few things our dealer could fix that was wrong with our car. They replaced the muffler and all brackets and the problem was fixed! Now, we are stuck with the awful vibration that has been present from day one and numerous other issues that GM cannot or will not fix. Beware if you are thinking about buying this car because this is the worst piece of junk I have ever owned.
