The contact owns a 2016 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that she was notified by a police officer that the passenger-€™s side taillight was inoperable. Additionally, the driver-€™s side taillight was flashing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not under recall. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 81,000.

The contact scheduled an appointment with carmax (916-782-2404, located at 1450 eureka rd, roseville, ca 95661) to replace the tail light. The contact stated that it was a known issue that the led light bulb in the tail light assembly could not be replaced without replacing the entire tail light assembly. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 29,400.
