Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician a vehicle may have a shake or shudder during light throttle acceleration, between 30 and 65 mph steady driving. Technician will drive the vehicle while monitoring Torque Converter Clutch slip speed. If the Torque Converter Clutch slip speed is in the range of 10 RPM or less the condition is possibly related to engine performance. If the slip speed is beyond 10 rpm or there is shudder during Torque Converter Clutch apply the torque converter should be replaced following the instructions published in Service Information.
