Summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on how to diagnose and repair vehicles that have a click, rattle or a squeak nose coming from the dash. Technician will use Service Information to locate the Accessory AC and DC Power Control Module located to the right of the steering column. Remove the power inverter module and apply two sided tape to the module bracket to insulate it from the mount. The instrument panel accessory bezel will also need to be removed. Apply flocking tape to the instrument panel accessory bezel retainers. Also the instrument panel extension will need to be removed. Apply foam tape around connectors located under grill to prevent them from rattling on grill. Apply flocking tape to the instrument panel extension retainers and apply a strip of foam tape along the edge of the grill to isolate the grill from the dash.
