We've been to the service department for freezing front display, electrical back wiper not working along with USBs not working, and now the A/C not working... Of course the warranty is up. 298.00 to diagnose - I can't wait to hear how much this is going to cost to fix GM class action lawsuit problem that is now turned into money GM customer is paying to fix. I had 3 Hondas (Civic, Accord, and Pilot) that equal the amount spent on this car and they were only in for routine maintenance and ran them until 200k miles... Never again GM. #gmjUNK

A/C blowing hot air. GM said the A/C compressor is leaking. There have been past lawsuits about this. So a GM added an extended warranty for several of their models including the 2017 Yukon XL for this issue up to 60,000 miles. Unfortunately my car is at 66,000 miles, so I don’t qualify now. I hear the AC condenser welding was not done correctly and that that is why the leak is occurring. Now I have to pay for it out of pocket since I’m 6000 miles over, even though they know the welding was faulty.

While driving, my A/C Climate control has failed in 2017 GMC Yukon. This equipment failure has caused a dangerous problem, especially when the windshield fogged up and I couldn't see out the windshield almost causing a crash. I was scared to death from this incident driving on I270 here in MD. I am both shocked and appalled there is no recall issued and that GM used leaky air conditioners that buckle under pressure in many 2014-2017 trucks and SUVs. Whether it's busted hoses or leaky condensers, thousands of GM owners like me are upset that a nationwide recall has not been issued to repair this dangerous problem. It's such a widespread problem that there's a nationwide backorder for replacement parts. Many of the original replacement parts were discontinued to the defect. See TSB PIE0340. Along with the alleged problems with the compressor to condenser lines, a class action lawsuit says the air conditioner condensers are defective because the materials used to manufacture the condensers are defective.

I took it to my local shop to find out my condenser needs replacing, and the service tech told me it is not under warranty but have had many problems with the condenser on this make and model SUV. He also agreed with me that it should be a recall since there have been so many vehicles with the same problem. He told me to contact the dealer since this GMC Yukon uses only special A/C refrigerant.

I called Amy at Wantz Chevrolet Service, who wants to charge me to diagnose this problem, although the dealer knew of this problem first noted in bulletin # PIE0340 Date: Jul 2015. The estimate replacement of defective parts is about $2000!!

I called GMC customer service, Case # 9-6360482931 They declined to help me. I asked why I was never notified of this problem when I bought this used vehicle from Wantz Chevrolet when I could have addressed this problem before my warranty expired. I am really upset that Wantz Chevrolet did not notify me of this inherent problem so I could have had it repaired before my warranty expired!

I was mislead by the dealer. At no time was I told verbally or advised in writing that the 2017 GMC Yukon’s had defects in its air conditioning system which could cause the system to cease functioning properly without any warning. Had I been advised the 2017 GMC Yukon had defects in the air conditioning system that could cause it to fail to function without notice to the operator, I would not have purchased the Yukon, but instead would have purchased a competitor’s vehicle or only agreed to much lower price than I paid for my Yukon. I clearly would not have purchased this vehicle had I have known of this safety defect.

I have filed a complaint with NTSB. Looks like a class action suit has been filed...

A/C stopped working. Regular people can’t fix it due to equipment needed. Dealership charged me $150 just to tell me what’s wrong and then said it would be an additional $1,656 to have the condenser replaced in order to fix the problem. No A/C in Texas in the summer with 4 kids is not an option.
