The paint on my 2017 Yukon started fading badly after about 3 years. Now it looks like complete crap. It is definitely a manufacturer defect and it needs to be fixed by them!
When you pay 78,000 for a vehicle before taxes (after taxes, close to 90,000), you expect your suv to look good for years and the paint to last. Unfortunately that's not the case with our 2017 Yukon Denali!!!
Paint started fading after 4 years. The dealer and GMC will not cover since the warranty is only 3 years. I paid several hundred dollars to have the vehicle detailed until I was told the paint is bad.
GMC did agree to pay up to half the cost of the paint job but will have to file a claim after its done, and was told it's not guaranteed. Also, the dealer has no loaner cars available and GMC will not reimburse for a rental because the repair is out of warranty. The dealer will have the truck at least a week.
GMC is not standing by their product. After so many complaints of the same incident (hood and roof fading) - this should be a recall.
