I'm also on my 3rd alternator in this car. I've chalked it up to crappy aftermarket parts sold be Autozone. The original alternator did not fail until the car was 15 years old. I'm now on my 2nd aftermarket Duralast alternator in 3 years. Luckily I bought the lifetime warranty on this part. So Autozone will continue replacing them free of cost as they fail.

The alternator and battery keep failing simultaneously every six months. I keep replacing them, and I've replaced the alternator drive belt too. What's going on?

Can anyone tell me why 3 alternators would go bad in 2 years? Did I get bad alternators or is my car causing the alternators to fail in such a short time? The car runs great otherwise and no other electrical problems exist. Thank you
