Over the past thirteen months, I've been on the horn with both the dealer and Honda USA (Honda USA was very reluctant to return my calls). Fast forward to April 2018 when I am at the dealer for a routine oil change and the dealer informs me that there is a software update for the "Entertainment Module." This, they explain, may improve cell phone connectivity through Bluetooth interface. The update caused my Entertainment Module to fail. So I have lost everything controlled through this module including heat.

It has been unseasonably cold in NY and heat is a necessity. I do not expect this type of failure in a vehicle that is just over one year old. Again I bought a Honda for their reputation of Quality, Reliability and Service. Now I am getting a bad taste in my mouth!

Oh, and the keyless entry just failed again. Hoping I do not need a replacement Body Control Module.

bluetooth / hfl system failures persisting. hatchback, new

2017 Civic Hatchback EX (1.5T/CVT) brand new, 3wks ago. Repeated failures of my phone to pair/sync with Bluetooth / HFL unit. Samsung Convoy4 (new too) on HFL Compatibility list. Find same scenario under TSB #A16-022, last years Civic, so American Honda Motor Company is aware; has not remedied. Myriad other victims this and yet Honda still allows dealers to sell these cars? Isn't this a Deceptive Trade Practice? Dealers knew or reasonably should have known [selling defective vehicles]? Perhaps more folks need to contact their respective State's AG under Consumer Protection / Fraud. I'm hanging mine on manufacturer (AHMC), and currently have 2 Certifieds to them pending receipt; Valentines Day memo's as it were. I'm not feeling the Love...

Come on Honda, step-up to the plate of responsibility - Recall and FIXIT or..? What should be simple operational tech made needlessly dysfunctional = CRAPTECH.
