engine won't turn over, won't start

Its hard to diagnose because the problem is hard to replicate.

Starting about the 5th time crank. The car has a brand new alternator, newer battery, and starter is ok.

The electrical clicking and green key flashing continued with key in ignition.

Sometimes this happens, sometimes car will turn over but no contact without the clicking.

The last time the Emergency brake wouldn't go off for a while and the miles actually disappeared.

Having an electric mechanic look at it soon but it may not be worth the expense to keep it.

Car won't start and when that happens I pull the key out and get a ticking noise in the dash. It will start if I hit the top of the dash with my fist. Sometimes when the car does start the dashboard lights and gauges do not wake up until later. Sometimes the AC will start by itself. Headlights and vent fan change output level in a cyclical manner and when I let off the gas. Sometimes the cruise control cuts out. Sometimes the light on the far right fan control dial does not work. Sometimes the map lights don't work. I am not sure if these issues are all related. The battery was low and replaced and I still have same issues.
