The steering wheel in my 2019 Honda Passport made unwanted movement or motion when parked or stopped. I was able to capture the problem with the steering wheel on a video clip and presented to the dealer as an evidence. On the first visit I was notified there was not any problem and recommended to perform a four wheel alignments. On the second visit the technician discovered the problem and escalated to Honda. Honda stated that they have seen this problem with the steering wheel and it was diagnosed to be related to a defect in the steering column. The steering column was removed and replaced but a second problem appeared with the steering wheel adjustment lever and steering wheel became too stiff to move up/down. Honda's representative made a visit to the dealer and the problem was diagnosed to be a second defective steering column. I believe this could be a safety concern although dealer has stated that it is not.

I was driving on the highway at 65mph. All of a sudden the vehicle started to slow down at a very fast rate cutting my speed in half. 2 errors appeared on the dashboard. "transmission problem, apply parking brake when parked." And "blind spot info system problem." Luckily I was able to pull over just in the right time, but the vehicle was starting to get very hard to control while steering as this was all happening. The vehicle started to control me meaning J almost couldn't steer it where it needed to go and I could not accelerate at all on the highway. The vehicle kept slowing down. I was on the shoulder of the highway around a sharp turn and I was terrified that someone would slam right into me. It took a tow truck 1 hour to arrive. The dealer has never heard of this issue before. I'm waiting to hear back from them as they still have M vehicle. Wilde Honda waukesha,
