This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Car making huge noises when turning right or left, looks like coming from bad axles. Still waiting for dealer for backorder parts. After few weeks car also making huge noise and shaking while driving in highway
SEVERAL LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING, AND THE ACCELERATION stopped at 25 mph: 1. Service High voltage 2. Service Vehicle Soon 3. Reduced Acceleration - Drive With Care I brought the car in the next day. The service center at Honda Mahwah diagnosed the problem immediately. They said it is a valve for the AC system that cools the battery. They know this valve is bad on many Honda Prolouges and needs to be replaced. They said there is a "Service Bulletin" out for this problem. Then they said they do not have this valve and have no idea when it will be available. They did not want my car to sit on their lot, nor did they offer a loaner. I have not driven the car since, and it sits in my driveway, not the garage. I'm afraid of the high voltage problem, and I do not want the battery to explode in my garage. I think the NHTSA should issue a recall so this can be fixed. Pictures attached.
Tried charging my car and says high voltage service, then service vehicle soon light als the tire monitoring system is not working and reverse autobreak is too sensitive
2024 Honda Prologue has been having service high voltage system, reduced acceleration, no heat or AC in while in the rain and with toddlers in the car. Car has had this issue twice before and just got the car back from the service on April 2, Had issue in December, Feb 2025 for 11 days. The vehicle was just returned 3 days ago for the same issue. Service keeps stating they don't know what the problem and vehicle is needs to be towed due to inability to charge or drive on Major roadway due to limited speed.
Start vehicle and warning lights flash. "service high voltage system" Drove to service center. Heat did not work on the cold morning. Defrost would not work. Service center informed me the main 440 volt battery needs replacing. wait times, one to two months for new battery.
"high voltage system failure" and inability to charge - co cooling and limited acceleration - took 7 1/2 weeks to repair - Tech found p1c0100 ac compressor motor underspend, recharged ac system nd found excessive freon
While driving in traffic, the car unexpectedly applied the brakes and displayed a 'Service High Voltage System' warning on the dashboard. Shortly after, another message appeared: 'Service Vehicle Soon, ' followed by 'Reduced Acceleration - Drive with Care.' The car isn't charging and lacks the speed needed to drive on the highway.
Twice the prologue warnings have come on that state -??service high voltage system" and "reduced acceleration. There is no AC/HEAT in the vehicle under 35 degrees. Under 6000 miles
Received multiple alerts including "service high voltage system", "service vehicle soon", and "cannot charge". The vehicle also reduced speed and function, which could have resulted in reduced driver safety. Vehicle will be brought in for service to determine cause.
The car had an error with a front safety camera, the car stopped in the middle of an intersection and I had to coast into the nearest parking lot. The error cleared it self but Honda was of no help. The dealers do not know how to fix the cars.
The EV battery would not charge. There were 2 messages, but nothing to indicate the issue, except that it was unable to charge. Took it into a dealer for service who stated that the freon was low. Without freon, the battery won't charge due to possible overheating. This was a brand new car - owned 2 days. They refilled the freon and charged the car. They could not find any leaks.
The contact owned a 2024 Honda Prologue.
