We were heading home from food shopping and as we started to go, we realized the van was not accelerating above 15 mph. We had a check engine light on and were in limp mode. We were afraid to turn it off and not be able to start it again, so we limped it home. My husband restarted it and it acted fine as he headed to the mechanic with it. It ended up being a battery on it's last leg and it affected the throttle sensor switch.
