Car shut down at 25mph in a parking garage while taking a turn.... I could not turn the wheel and hit a cement column.. Air bags did not deploy and I cracked the windshield with my head (was wearing seatbelt). Car was drive-able and no damage to lights, but the frame was twisted and the estimated fix was $8K. Insurance totalled it. I'm shocked that the airbag did not deploy and suprised to see all the issues with random shutdowns....was looking to replace with recent model Genesis, but now I realize that its not worth it.

Like so many other drivers with the same complaint, my car stalls in slow speeds or at an intersection or round a bout. It is dangerous. Just today, I drove 130 miles, on Interstate 95, no problem, got off the interstate onto local road with lots of stop lights and traffic. Car stalled several times. It does not stop running, it just stalls, I pump the gas pedal very fast several times and the engine catches and runs fine until the next stop light and it does the same thing over again. I have been to the Hyundai dealership twice and I get the same response as others, "we can't find any problem, so there is nothing we can do."

Car completely powered off at 80 mph on interstate and would not even turn over. Once it finally got towed and I got a car rental I went to get my items from the car as I was on a 12 hour road trip and the car cranked 4 times like nothing had happened. A tow, and $440 a week rental later the Hyundai shop gives up on working on car as it seems to be fine after 2 and half days. They kept it running a few hours at a time and the manager drove it for 62 miles. There was no code on the computer when brought in and nor could they get it to duplicate. This could have been a horrific pile up with fatalities and the shop just wants me to pick it up and drive it over 6 hours back home on the interstate. I am not happy to say the least. I knew they would say there was no code to be found. There may not be a code but there is a BIG problem for sure!
