On December 23 at 5:30 pm my 2015 Hyundai Genesis with no warning died for a second time while I was stopped for a traffic light. As in my previous experience with this problem there was no advance warning. At this time I was in heavy traffic on a five lane State Road with cars in each lane. I put on my warning lights, called 911 and prayed. The police and fire engine arrived about 10 minutes later closed all five lanes of the road and while I steered with their help they pushed the car off the road to a safe area. Three hours later the Hyundai engaged Tow Company showed up and towed the car to the dealer. The car was at the dealer for 15 days and the ECU Module was replaced.

I am now extremely nervous about driving this car and although it does not meet the Lemon Law guidelines I believe there is a serious safety issue.

I would like help in addressing this issue with Hyundai.

Third, just 15 days later on 11/11/15 the vehicle completely shut down in the middle of the highway going 60 mph! No warning or anything, the steering wheel stiffened, it would not accelerate, the vehicle was fully unresponsive. Luckily my husband was driving that day and my one year old daughter was not in the vehicle.  After several attempts to turn the vehicle on in order to move it to a safe location and call for assistance it would continue to shut down. It was finally towed to the nearest Hyundai, being Braman Miami.

After a couple of days of not being able to locate the issue, it was finally brought to our attention that a hose pump needed to be replaced and that the part was on back order for a couple of weeks. Upon receiving the part after Thanksgiving we were told it should be ready on Monday 11/30.  I didn't hear from anyone, called several times to get an update and finally got to speak to someone on Tuesday 12/1 to be told that now there was an issue with the vehicles computer and that they did not know when the new computer will arrive because of the holidays.
