Head light control knob on the blinker handle. While driving, using the blinker, the headlights' turn knob is extremely sensitive. It has happened several times. Driving at night, turn on the blinker to go right, it also scrolls the headlight control and turns them off. HIGHLY dangerous in my opinion. Safety concern for myself and other drivers Mentioned this to Kingdom Kia of Rolla, MO. Service worker said she has heard of this complaint before. The light knob is very sensitive. Has not been inspected by manufacturer No warning lamps etc.

Both the left and right turn signals have had to be replaced over 5 times EACH since I purchased the car in 2018. The first time it happened I took it to the dealer and they said the lighting harness was the problem and they replaced it at no cost since it was under warranty. Then the right one went out and again they replaced the harness free. Then the left went out again and since replaced harness was under a year old, they replaced it at no cost. That was Feb 27. 2020. Each side has gone out at least 4 times since Feb, '20. Please keep in mind I drove less than 5000 miles during 2021 due to the pandemic. Now the dealer says the entire head light assembly must be replaced to solve the problem. This is a real safety concern because other drivers need to know where I'm turning or I might get hit. Hyundai charges $1,100 to replace headlight assembly on each side-any discount given! So now I must replace the bulb about every 3-4 months on each side to feel safe driving. This a problem with their 2015 models because we have a friend who had the same problem

Driver side front turning signal/Daytime Running light burns out constantly. I have replaced that bulb at least 6 times since purchasing the car in 2018. Dealer confirmed it's common with my vehicle, and advised me to use OEM bulbs only as other bulbs would blow out faster. After the first bulb was replaced with a dealer OEM and that blew out within a few months, I purchased one from auto zone and it burned out within a week. Have been using OEM bulbs ever since. I have two friends with the exact same year make and model, and they have experienced the same issue. You can also see many threads hear describing the issue: https://www.google.com/search?q=2015+genesis+sedan+turn+signal+bulb+burns+out+site:genesisowners.com With a bulb that burns out constantly, there's a risk of people not wanting to swap them out and just not having a left turn signal on front of vehicle, this poses a safety risk to the driver and to everyone around them if they cannot properly signal their intent. One of my friends has chosen this route, after swapping the bulb 3 times, he has refused to do it any further. The indication that the bulb has burned out is a "Hyper Flash" meaning the left side turn signals will flash more rapidly than before to indicate a bulb has burned out. Many users have switched to LED lights to assuage the issue, however this is an aftermarket solution, not one that is provided by the manufacturer.

While driving at night or during day, multifunction switch that controls headlamps will, without interaction, flip the lights from auto to off. This leads to either the drls blinking like I have an emergency, or the headlamps turning off while I'm driving down an unlit highway at highway speeds. It's extremely dangerous and needs a recall...not a warranty extension. Particularly when the servicing dealers refuse to replace under said warranty because "they cannot replicate the issue".

1. in a stationary position both incidents the left and right passenger door handles while opening the doors on different times once in 2019 the other 2020 completely came off. The first issue I went to service department at norm reeves Hyundai in California off of the 605 freeway where they glue it back together and not opening the inside of the door to remove the broken pieces that fell inside the door which you can hear each time I close the door for the right side back passenger door. Second issues the left side back passenger door handle came apart the same way trying to open the door it just completely came off. I call my insurance company usaa file a claim took the vehicle to caliber collision hear in kyle, Texas and they glued back on no pieces broke off inside the door. Now I have a problem with the right side headlight bulb that keeps going out while im driving. I took it to South point Hyundai July 6, , 2020 for this issue. According to the service report they identified the bulb needed to be replaced and replaced it. I told them the bulb is not the problem, they needed to find out whats causing it to go out. On July 7, 2020 bulb went out again retuned back to South point Hyundai all they did was opened the hood the service guy giggled something on the right side headlight and it came on, I told him thats is so unprofessional and should not have happened just to get my headlight to work. On September 7, 2020 bulb went out again call September 8, 2020 the service manager told me to bring the car in after I explained what happened for the second time after ive been charged for the service that did not fix the problem. Once I reached South point Hyundai the service manager john wayne drive my vehicle around the back drove back after 30 minutes and told me its going to cost me $130. Not including labor to fix the problem. I just left very upset.

While driving at night with lights in automatic mode, the headlights will turn off for a few seconds and the dash will indicate the lights mode has changed, before the lights will turn back on. This has occurred multiple times typically at night along rural highways but has occurred along lit streets as well. It has happened while simply driving along a straight stretch of road as well as when turning or switching from brights to dims. This safety hazard has fortunately not yet resulted in losing control of the vehicle due to lack of awareness regarding position on the road and could result in a serious accident. Date listed is the most recent time the incident occurred.

When my headlights are in the "auto" position and I engage my turn signals my headlights will flicker and the lcd screen on my dash switches between "auto" and "drl off" which causes my lights to turn off for a couple seconds. This usually happens when I'm in motion and when the turning stalk is engaged, either fully or semi, or even sometimes when I just push up against the stalk without actually engaging the turn signal. This does not happen ever time, but it has happened on multiple occasions.

Daytime running lights(drl) and front turn signal bulbs burn out very frequently due to the fact they are the same filament in the bulb even though they require a dual filament bulb. The wiring harnesses also show significant signs of overheating. This is a very widely-known issue in the online forums for this car and is a completely unsafe issue. The drivers side bulb is easy to replace, but the passenger side is not. I have replaced the drivers side 3 times and the passenger side 2 times in the last year. Between bulbs and mechanic fees for the passenger side, I have spent $200-$300 in the last year maintain this unsafe problem.

The headlight mode will sometimes change from auto to off and back to auto while driving (on city streets or on the highway), without input from the driver. This causes the headlights, taillights, and interior lights to momentarily switch off. I feel like this may be due to a loose electrical connection in the headlight mode on the left multifunction stalk, as the auto and off modes are adjacent to each other.

The left and right front turn signals lamps burnt out at the same time, I then replaced both bulbs and they blew out again. On the third attempt only the left front lamp worked properly where as the side was still inoperable. I took the car to the dealer and they repaced the plug that the but bulb was attached to now I'm just waited to see if any other issues occur.

My headlights turn off (completely) on occasion when I touch the blinker signal stalk. They then flicker and cycle. Here is video of the exact issue - https://www.youtube.com/watch?V=wyamrudmtqg. It happened on the pa turnpike while I was going 70 mph. This is a major issue with many similar reports for the Hyundai Genesis. This has happened about 5 times over 3 years to me.

My headlights flicker off and on randomly while sitting still and driving, it shows on my instrument panel switching from auto mode and off randomly I looked up the problem on a couple forums and hundreds of people have had this problem please make this a recall before some hits a child or a car in the street cause the dealerships are not trying to work on it some people said by replacing the turn signal handle it fixed the problem but it needs to be a recall fix not a owner fix if this many people are having a problem ( I found as video on youtube which is the exact problem every one is having https://youtu.be/wyamrudmtqg)

I've had to replace the turn signal bulbs several times (3 times so far). The 2015 model uses one light to function as both the daytime running light and also as the turn signal. It looks to me like they overheat and it was probably a bad design in my opinion. I feel like Hyundai needs to strongly consider a recall to rectify this ongoing problem. I don't ever remember having to replace a turn signal on any of the vehicles I've ever owned and it seems this will be an ongoing problem. It creates a bit of a safety issue too - being without a front turn signal when this happens. I put March 16 below as that was the most recent occurrence.

The headlights, whether in auto-mode or on-mode, will randomly turn off by themselves for a couple seconds, then cycle quickly back on and off, before turning back on after a few seconds. Within a 30min drive this typically will happen at least once. It is speed independent; it will occur at highway speeds, during rest at a stop light, driving through a parking lot, through dark twisting forest roads, etc., etc. Sometimes, although not always, operating the turn signal will initiate the issue. As documented by video, when in auto-mode and the situation occurs, the "light-mode" dash display will quickly alternate between off and auto as the lights themselves cycle off and on. It is extremely dangerous for a driver and also surrounding vehicles, as all exterior lighting is lost and the vehicle goes dark.

At night when head lights are on and blinker is used, when the blinker is put on or when the turn is completed and the blinker goes off, the headlights go off for 3-5 seconds. This has also happened when blinker is not used while driving all headlights went off for 3-5 seconds. It is more prevalent when blinker is used. It happened twice on my commute to work this morning. I put todays date on this complaint, but it has happened multiple times.
