Hello my vehicle VIN number is : [xxx] I import my car from usa to jordan and there are two items for recall. There's a fire smell in the vechicle and my car is broken at the current for the second reason of the recall. The agent refused to replace the parts because it's imported. Note that this recall is for manufacturers ?failure and for all vehicles around the world. Please help and give an opinion. With many thanks information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Had required recall (#178) for a pra to be replaced performed 4/6/19, upon driving it noticed electronic, acid smell that went away. Today (4/7/19), upon driving it, the car's cabin filled with smoke that was coming from the rear seat. I immediately pulled over, shut the car off, removed as much items from the car as possible and called my wife, 2 miles down the road at home to bring a fire extinguisher. Upon her arriving roughly 5 mins later, flames began emerging from the backseat, which I quickly extinguished and proceeded to call 9-1-1. upon the police and fire department arriving, flames were still emerging and still smoking until they were able to douse it with water, flame retardant, and also disconnect the batteries to prevent future damage. The car was eventually towed to the dealership and now awaiting.

We received a recall letter in the mail (a notice, then an instruction to fix, approximately 3 months apart) regarding an electrical connection under the rear seat. This fault may lead to fires and we were told to contact any facility immediately to schedule a repair that would take less than 30 minutes. At least 5 times across multiple days and through multiple technologies, we contacted the dealership at 4960 North, fl-7, coconut creek, fl 33073 (cocounut creek Hyundai) where we originally purchased the car. They refused to respond to us and schedule an appointment. Nevertheless, we still visited physically in person on 3/16. After keeping our car for nearly 8 hours they claimed no technician was available to repair our car that day! they never agreed to schedule the legally required repairs as we requested many times in advance and even held our car hostage and refused to repair it! they have violated the law and put our lives at risk. They must be punished and we must be compensated for this barbaric treatment at the hands of Hyundai. Our car is still at risk of explosion and Hyundai refuses to fix it.

The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq hybrid. Within less than 30 days of owning the vehicle, the contact felt nauseous. The contact guessed that the issue could be associated with the electrical, engine or fuel system or fumes could be emitting through the vents. The contact received medical testing and treatment. The dealer (vision Hyundai henrietta rochester, 2525 w henrietta rd, rochester, NY 14623, (585) 292-0500) had not yet provided odor testing, but provided various repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.
